Department of Revenue - Gaming Unit


Alaska's gaming regulatory body is the Alaska Department of Revenue - Tax Division's Gaming Unit.

The Department issues permits to organizations and municipalities that authorize the conducting bingo, raffles and lotteries, pull-tab games, ice and classics, (sled dog) mushing sweepstakes, fish derbies and contests of skill within the state. The Gaming Unit collects taxes, penalties and fees, and also conducts examinations, audits and on-site inspections. The Gaming Unit publishes an annual report that includes descriptions of each program.

There are offices in both Anchorage and Juneau.
