The Arkansas Racing Commission is a section of Arkansas Department of
Finance and Administration. The Commission regulates thoroughbred and greyhound racing within the state.
The Governor appoints the five Commission members to five year terms. The Commission is located in Little Rock but supervisors are in
place at the state's two race tracks.
Greyhound racing takes place at Southland Greyhound Park in West Memphis.
Thoroughbred racing takes place at the Oaklawn track in Hot Springs.
