system sellers are the 21st Century equivalent of snake oil salesmen. The translation of the word "system" into
mathematical English is "sucker bait." It is hard to overstate how worthless systems are. They pretend
math doesn't exist. But... it does.
"Systems" are not "strategies". Most of the games here have some strategy choices, where at
minimum a player has a choice to make less-bad bets instead of more-bad ones. All these decisions though are
passed on the mathematics of the game and situations. Decisions based on "feel", "streaks",
"progressions" and other voodoo are simply weak-minded. If a roulette wheel comes up black six times in
a row it is not any more or less likely to come up black the next roll than if it came up black three times and
green three times (assuming the wheel isn't broken or tampered with). God and math do not care what happened last
roll, and they certainly do not care how much you bet last roll!
Casino games are offered by casinos because they offer casinos (in most cases) a fixed edge that a player can not
overcome no matter what. Casinos offer games where they are sure to win. Duh. With the exceptions noted on the
various game pages where players can strategically earn a positive expectation, the rest of the time: the house wins.
Players can only minimize their negative expectation. The casinos have set the games up this way, and they just love
these system sellers spouting their drivel. So, if it says "system", run away.
How helpful are gambling systems?
